Grand Touring Champion Maureen Hance
Maureen started as a course worker and ran her first race at the 1999 Pony Express. Since then she has run 4 more races with 2 first place finishes. She started out in the 110 class and is now running in the 120 class and is planning on running as many races in 2001 that she can.
Maureen's racing highlight this year was her 1st place finish at the Pony Express II event in Battle Mountain, Nevada where she averaged an incredible 0.018 mph from her target of 120 mph!
Maureen enjoys the new friends that she has met while participating in open road racing. She travels with Ted Zaleski to the races and she said that without Ted's help she would never be able to participate in these events. She is looking forward to the day when Ted, his son Ted, and she can all run in the same race. Maureen lives in The Woodlands, Texas and is very proud of her 6 grandchildren.
