The 2008 Pony Express 130 will stay with the popular 4-day format, with the race on Sunday, August 24. The practice session will remain on Friday, with the popular Car Show and Parade on Saturday. We have also moved the Practice Road for this year. Practice and Qualifying will now start at the race starting line at MM 116 and run down to MM 108. So, no more 40-mile drives to get to practice! We expect to have a lot of spectators from Battle Mountain watching you practice this year from the old highway area at MM 114, so be sure to look sharp!
We hope to see everyone at our events this summer. We know that fuel and other costs are climbing, and that many of you have to make choices on you racing venues; so, we will try to give you the best value for your dollar. As always, veterans of Open Road Racing know that the “fun factor” at these events in incredible. As we say, “We all get together with our friends for a few days of fun, then we get to go REALLY FAST!”
